Our Dogs
"Helping Death Row Dogs Find a Home"
Once Little Paws rescues a dog, we take the dog to a veterinarian for a complete examination. Any illnesses are treated as recommended by our vet. Once our rescues are deemed heathy by our vet they are given a complete set of all required vaccinations, including, bordatella, which is for kennel cough. Bordatella vaccination is required to board a dog or to have a dog groomed. Also all our rescues are neutered/spayed prior to adoption.
While waiting to be adopted, the dog is placed in a foster home in order to evaluate the temperament of the dog and, if ill, to rehabilitate the dog. Please note that foster homes are VERY important in the rescue process, and most often a lack of foster homes is what prevents any rescue group from taking additional animals. If you are interested in becoming a foster family, please contact us or complete our comment form under "Contact".
